Copper Mountain is the largest of four resorts in Summit County and is a great place to visit. Ride the lifts in the summer time to access beautiful hiking trails and beginner to challenging downhill mountain biking. The Arkansas River starts just on the other side of Fremont Pass, next to Copper, and offers world class white water rafting.
The Arkansas River is extremely scenic offering stretches of river away from roads and towns. Our Browns Canyon stretch of river flows through our countries newest National Monument. We offer 1/2 day, full day and multi day trips for beginners to experts from this location. To get to us take CO-91 South, CO-91 turns into Hwy 24 in Leadville, continue South, we will be located on the right hand side just before the town of Buena Vista; 30375 Hwy 24.
If you are looking to try another river we offer fun whitewater rafting on Clear Creek, located in Idaho Springs, Colorado. This creek is a fun, fast paced experience passing through historic Idaho Springs. We offer beginner to advanced trips on Clear Creek. This location is slightly farther than our Arkansas River location directly off of I 70 East.
