The Numbers on the Arkansas River is one of the best sections of white water rafting in Colorado if you are looking for a fun, action packed, non-stop ride. This class IV intermediate to advanced rafting trip is great for experienced rafters or adventurous first timers. Participants should be in good physical condition and ready to paddle! The Numbers half day section has 7 major rapids, numbered off one through seven (real original names, I know) but that’s not all, there are plenty of other rapids in-between the major ones. This section is very continuous without much down time. Not only is this section exciting but it is beautiful too. There are many majestic views of the Collegiate Peaks and the Mosquito mountain range located just north of Buena Vista, Colorado. Trip times are at 10 am and 12:45 pm out of our Buena Vista outpost. We recommend participants to be 15 years old or older. Free wetsuit, splash top and river shoe rentals are included. We are sure to give you and your group the thrill of a lifetime with this rafting tour.

The Numbers section of the Arkansas River offers some of the greatest white water rafting in Colorado and in the country!  This Buena Vista white water rafting trip will show you the meaning of excitement. Experience 13 miles of continuous class IV+ rapids that are sure to provide a heart pounding and adrenaline pumping adventure. If you’re looking for big drops, splashes and non-stop action then this is the rafting trip for you. Pay close attention your expert guide as he instructs and maneuvers the raft with the help of your paddles through the steep drops and narrow channels. Try not to miss the majestic views of the Collegiate Peaks as you navigate eight Class IV+ exciting rapids and continuous whitewater before lunch. Take a much needed break and catch your breath while enjoying a delicious riverside lunch prepared for you by your guide. We continue the excitement down stream as you raft The Narrows section, also known as Wild Horse Canyon, and tackling six more Class III-IV rapids.  Your trip concludes in our town’s favorite spot, the Buena Vista white water play park.  Up for another challenge?  Your guide can surely be talked into surfing the play wave! The most extreme whitewater rafting trip in Buena Vista, Colorado! Paddle Pine Creek and the Numbers on this full day trip. This trip is for experienced paddlers and adrenaline seekers. It is iconic Colorado class V advanced white water rafting! If you are limited on time check out our Pine Creek Half Day trip. We start the trip in the Granite Gorge, a steep and narrow canyon with class III-IV rapids. Consider this the warm up! Next, you’ll pull over for a quick scout with your guide as you prepare yourself for what’s ahead…  full on Colorado Class V whitewater with Pine Creek Rapid and Triple Drop. These rapids create a continuous 1.5 mile class V rapid dropping 200 feet per mile over giant boulders and steep pour overs. It’s sure to get the blood pumping! After maneuvering through Pine Creek Rapid and Triple Drop the trip continues with the infamous class IV section, The Numbers. These 6 extra miles of continuous whitewater will be a perfect follow up to your already awesome day. Inflatable kayaks (aka duckies) are a fun and exciting adventure! Our duckies are open and easily maneuverable and they offer a totally different experience on the river than rafting. Sitting low on the Arkansas River gives you a new vantage point and makes even small waves into big events;  it’s a great adventure even with low water! These trips are customized to your group and ability level. Our guides will show you the ropes and teach you proper kayaking techniques as you learn how to steer yourself through mellow rapids or challenge some of the skills you’ve acquired in the past.  We cater to the first timer and the experienced kayaker alike and choose the section of river best suited to your group. Take a morning trip, meeting at 9 am, or an afternoon excursion at 1 pm. A half day trip allows enough time to enjoy hiking and climbing nearby or enjoy a leisurely lunch in Buena Vista! All of our kayaking trips provide everything you need for an unforgettable river adventure: your very own inflatable kayak, paddle, wetsuit, booties, splash jacket, life jacket, and helmet. On day one you will raft the fun and challenging Numbers class IV section and continue through the Narrows. After lunch you will continue to your camp site in Browns Canyon National Monument. Great secluded camp sites! Day two you will raft through the rest of the fun Browns Canyon section. This overnight is great for thrill seekers and adventurous first timers! All meals from lunch on day one to lunch on day two are provided and use high quality ingredients, you won’t go hungry. We are always happy to accommodate special dietary needs and special requests.
