Explore the many options for horseback riding in Colorado from our partner, Mount Princeton Stables. Offering a 1-hour ride, a 2-hour adventure ride, a 2-hour sunset ride, a full day Rocky Mountain Trail ride, and a 3/4 Day waterfall ride, we believe your horseback ride will be memorable.

One Hour Rides – $70

Excellent for families with small children. This ride is designed for the novice rider, or people on tight schedules. Children age 5 years and older can do this ride.

Two Hour Adventure Ride – $100 

This is our most popular ride! The two hour ride is excellent for families and those who want to see a little more of Beautiful Colorado. This ride follows a portion of Chalk Creek. Ride along a portion of the old narrow gauge railroad bed that went to St. Elmo around the turn of the century. We ride down to and across Chalk Creek while enjoying breathtaking views of Harvard, Yale, and the base of Mt. Antero.

Two Hour Sunset Ride – $110

Sunset Ride – leaves at 5 PM – 2 hours

Cross water and get some beautiful views of the fourteeners. See Colorado’s beautiful Sunsets.

Please note that as the days get longer this ride will go out later in the day.

Full Day Rocky Mountain Trail Ride – $295

Join us for a Full Day Brown’s Lake Ride and experience the sights and sounds of the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our trail rides will give guests an authentic encounter with the West and chance to experience the natural beauty of the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs area near Buena Vista.

3/4 Day Waterfall Ride – $185

A great trail along scenic Brown’s Creek, enjoy the spectacular and interesting Waterfalls along Brown’s Creek, a 2 hour ride out, relaxing and enjoyable lunch and a 2 hour ride back to the stables.
