The Numbers on the Arkansas River is one of the best sections of white water rafting in Colorado if you are looking for a fun, action packed, non-stop ride. This class IV intermediate to advanced rafting trip is great for experienced rafters or adventurous first timers. Participants should be in good physical condition and ready to paddle! The Numbers half day section has 7 major rapids, numbered off one through seven (real original names, I know) but that’s not all, there are plenty of other rapids in-between the major ones. This section is very continuous without much down time. Not only is this section exciting but it is beautiful too. There are many majestic views of the Collegiate Peaks and the Mosquito mountain range located just north of Buena Vista, Colorado. Trip times are at 10 am and 12:45 pm out of our Buena Vista outpost. We recommend participants to be 15 years old or older. Free wetsuit, splash top and river shoe rentals are included. We are sure to give you and your group the thrill of a lifetime with this rafting tour.

Inflatable kayaks (aka duckies) are a fun and exciting adventure! Our duckies are open and easily maneuverable and they offer a totally different experience on the river than rafting. Sitting low on the Arkansas River gives you a new vantage point and makes even small waves into big events;  it’s a great adventure even with low water! These trips are customized to your group and ability level. Our guides will show you the ropes and teach you proper kayaking techniques as you learn how to steer yourself through mellow rapids or challenge some of the skills you’ve acquired in the past.  We cater to the first timer and the experienced kayaker alike and choose the section of river best suited to your group. Take a morning trip, meeting at 9 am, or an afternoon excursion at 1 pm. A half day trip allows enough time to enjoy hiking and climbing nearby or enjoy a leisurely lunch in Buena Vista! All of our kayaking trips provide everything you need for an unforgettable river adventure: your very own inflatable kayak, paddle, wetsuit, booties, splash jacket, life jacket, and helmet. Tandem kayaks are available, but we highly recommend maneuvering your own vessel. Every trip is guided by an experienced and certified Browns Canyon Rafting guidewho will accompany you down river, teach you to steer your way through the rapids and be there if you end up taking a dip in the river. Kayaking is physically demanding and all participants should be in good physical condition.

This is Clear Creek’s most popular stretch of river. Great for adventurous first time paddlers and thrill seekers alike. Just minutes from Denver, this narrow, steep, technical section offers some of the most continuous and exciting whitewater Colorado has to offer.  You will paddle hard on this trip while you listen to your guide call commands, navigating many back to back class III-IV rapids. Some rapids you will experience are Nomad, Phoenix, and Outer-limits. This is a fun fast paced trip with plenty of excitement for you! This is a great option if you have time restraints. If you have more time we recommend checking out either The Numbers or Browns Canyon, some iconic runs on the Arkansas River. This is out of our Idaho Springs outpost approximately 40 minutes west of Denver. Our Colorado Clear Creek Advanced whitewater rafting trip is one of the most exciting and action packed trips we have to offer.  This trip is for experienced rafters over 16.  Located at our outpost in Idaho Springs, Colorado 40 minutes from Denver, this tour offers you huge drops, continuous and fast paced white water and heart pounding excitement. Great for rafters trying to stay close to Denver. If you have more time check out our Pine Creek Full Day or Half Day trip, our most advanced trip offered, or The Numbers Full or Half Day trip on the Arkansas River. Post trip bragging rights include back to back class IV drops in Beaver Falls, other class IV rapids such as Tricky Dick and Guide Ejector and the class V section of the advanced canyon.  We will navigate through rapids such as Double Knife, Hell’s Half Mile and Hell’s Corner, just to name a few.
