White Water Rafting Buena Vista CO

White Water Rafting Buena Vista CO

Buena Vista, Spanish for “good view”, is where Browns Canyon Rafting calls home! And what a great view it is. Buena Vista is surrounded by many 14,000 foot peaks, the highest concentration of 14ers in the state. The headwaters of the Arkansas River start approximately 40 miles north of Buena Vista and flow south through town, where the South Main River Park is. This whitewater park is the longest whitewater park of its kind in the country, you can find local and professional kayakers doing tricks as they “play” in the man-made waves. Below town we have Browns Canyon National Monument where there is a plethora of fun outdoor activities to partake in. To name a few activities you can: raft, hike, bike, rock climb, fish, kayak and camp in the National Monument.
Buena Vista is known to be the capital of whitewater rafting by many people in the United States. Buena Vista is more than just rafting, it is an outdoor mecca during the summer months, offering endless opportunities to make memories and seize the day. Below you will find our Arkansas River trips, if you are looking for more activities around the Buena Vista area please check out our Combo Trips and our Activities pages.
