Browns Canyon Rafting Policies

General and Medical Liability:

When choosing a rafting trip please be true to your groups ability level. If you have any questions or anyone in your group has questions feel free to call Browns Canyon Rafting (BCR) at (719) 275-2890. When participating in rafting trips or other activities you participate at your own risk and we ask you to pick an activity within your groups ability level.
Any one with medical conditions, physical limitations, is seriously overweight, pregnant or presumed to be pregnant should consult a physician prior to participating in any Browns Canyon Rafting activities.
All participants are required to fill out and sign a release and indemnity agreement and acknowledgement and assumption of risk form. Anyone under 18 must have a release and indemnity agreement and acknowledgement and assumption of risk form signed by their legal guardian.
Please bring any medications that you or anyone in your group might need. I.E. epi pen for allergic reactions, insulin for diabetic participants, ect.
All our guides are first aid and CPR certified, it is your responsibility to inform them of any medical conditions that you or someone in your group might have. Your safety is our top priority.

Minors Under Age 18:

Minors under 18 not accompanied by their parent or legal guardian must bring our release form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Adults accompanying minors must also sign the release as a verification of the parent/guardian signature.

Photographic Release:

Browns Canyon Rafting reserves the right to take photographic, film or video records of any Browns Canyon Rafting tour, program, or river trip, and each trip member agrees that Browns Canyon Rafting may use such photographic, film or video records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.

Discount Offers:

We regularly offer youth, senior and group discounts. Please note; that no discounts are offered on other specials or already discounted trips. Limit one discount per person and/or per group. Groupon, Living Social and any other special offers or coupons are subject to forfeiture if not used within the dates and times allotted or are beyond the parameters and limitations specified. All coupon’s and special offers are redeemed at the time of booking a reservation and are forfeited if canceled. *All offers are subject to availability and no retroactive discounts will be applied after a trip has been booked, confirmed, or completed.

Group Rates:

Groups of 12-18 receive a 10% discount, Groups of 18-29 receive 15% and groups of 30 or more receive a 20% discount. For complete information about all of our discounts and specials please call us at (719) 275-2890.
Any other discounts offered as “specials,” or through advertisements, promotions, affiliated clubs, organizations or businesses must be specifically requested by name when making a reservation. No retroactive discounts will be applied after a trip has been booked, confirmed, or completed. All such discounts are subject to expiration, restriction or withdrawal without notice.

If You Need To Cancel Your Trip:

If cancellation occurs 14 or more days prior to trip date, a full refund is available minus a $10 per person administrative fee for half day and full day trips, for overnight trips a $40 per person administrative fee will apply.
If cancellation occurs between 13 and 2 days prior to trip date, actual monies paid will go towards a trip “credit” to be used towards a future rafting, kayaking, or rock climbing trip. If cancellation occurs within 14 days for overnight trips no refund or trip credit will be given.
Within 48 hours of your scheduled trip/No-Shows/Late Arrivals – No refunds or trip credits will be given

If We Have To Cancel A Trip:

We almost always follow through with our plans. However, we reserve the right to cancel a trip or make changes in itinerary if necessary due to weather conditions, water fluctuations, or other factors beyond our control. Outright cancellation is unlikely, but if we are forced to cancel your trip, you may choose between:
Rescheduling your adventure, a trip credit for the future, or full refund.

Age and Weight limits:

Our minimum weight allowable to go rafting is 30 lbs on the Family Float. And 50 lbs on Browns Canyon.
There is no maximum weight, however all participants are required to fit into our life jackets with all buckles fastened. Our life jackets fit a maximum torso circumference of 52 inches.
All age minimums are recommended age limits with final decision up to Browns Canyon Rafting and our Staff. You and your child’s safety are our number one priority. Weather, water levels, and individual qualifications are all things taken into consideration when making our final decision.

Alcohol and Drug Liability:

Browns Canyon Rafting reserves the right to refuse service without refund if you are perceived to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Please do NOT drink or use drugs (even legal marijuana) prior to any of our activities.
